Some Comments - The Black Sorrows Copping Hall - 14 December 2014

"another great concert, always the best. Reminds me of lyrics from a Guy Clark song - it's the second best $100 I ever spent".

"great effort on your behalf. You need to be congratulated on putting together such an excellent afternoon. Look forward to attending more concerts".

"the concert was a blast! a different, rockier event from previous concerts. The sound level was loud, but I really enjoyed that. Also enjoyed, and so did most others I reckon, the seated venue with dancing this time. Just a fantastic treat. Thanks so much".

'what a fantastic concert. It was our first concert at the Copping Hall and it definitely won't be our last. Such an awesome venue and set up. We loved the laid back style with table settings and the ability to bring your own drinks and nibbles. The band was great and with a new album they were really rockin'. Overall an absolutely enjoyable event and thank you for organising it".

"hey mate, you pulled it off again, another great (possibly the greatest) show, well done and thanks".

"thoroughly enjoyed the show, always thought Joe is a star, mines the great blues, soul, r&b tradition...the gold mine for me".

"thanks for organising such a great gig. What a bunch of pros".

"congratulations on another successful event. Don't think it could have been any better. What a great afternoon's entertainment with one of my heroes of the Australian music scene, Joe Camilleri. Very impressed with the sound and the intimacy of the venue enhances the experience so much. Thank you for your contribution to the Arts in this community. Well done and looking forward to your next instalment".

"I really enjoyed the day. It was a lot looser and stripped back from previous Black Sorrows concerts I have seen, but I think it suited the venue and the 'man' - really good vibe concert - well done".

"I loved the concert, sat with great people and even danced. I'm looking forward to the next concert".

"thanks again Bob, that was fantastic. We really are lucky to be able to sit in such a relaxed atmosphere with so many old friends and enjoy such treats as we saw yesterday".

"did we ever love the show....and also appreciated how The Black Sorrows seemed to really enjoy it. I can't imagine anyone not thinking it was outstanding value".

"a splendid fun afternoon. A thoroughly enjoyable event of which there MUST be more! Long live live music".

"thanks for another wonderful concert. I hope Nic and Joe are both happy and you got some dollars to stick to your fingers".

"I LOVED THE SORROWS. I'd not seen them before, Joe and the band were superb. Volume was good, temperature not too stuffy and plenty of room to dance. Thanks again for tickets, great show".

"loved it, had great fun. Only thing would be dancing space but that of course depends on the artist/s as some are definitely sit down concerts.... Keep up the good work, appreciate it immensely".

"thanks again for setting this up for the community. It's so rare to experience such musicians in a small intimate country hall. May the force be with you and i look forward to your next inspired choice. It was a tad loud and it was a pity that such fine musicians limited themselves to offering somewhat pedestrian electric rock. I'm sure they captured most people's appreciation but I would have preferred more of an acoustic complexity. But again, thank you, a great afternoon".

"thanks for the concert, it was great, enjoyed every moment of it. Don't wait as long to do the next one!!!"

"THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU. Another fabulously well organised and WELL run event! Great space and tables, signage etc and well set out. I and others love the candles no matter the time of day, it always makes for a lovely atmospheric venue. Concert thoroughly enjoyed by all our gang. Our guests loved being able to bring their own drinks and nibbles and adds to the party type atmosphere. Some were pleasantly surprised at actually how GREAT it was/always is in little old Copping Hall. Of course we could have done with more dance space but how to do that I am not sure unless you push tables back a little but then those who don't want to dance get compromised? Band was great and Mr Camilleri warm, friendly and certainly gave more than 150% in terms of his performance".

"they were fantastic!!! They were a great band, all of them so talented and so generous with their time. You did good mate, as usual!!"

"thanks so much for the concert and your efforts to organise! Not being a fan of the band before I was quite green... the band were great and the performance tops. Table seating was perfect. Dance space at the front was great...just enough to interact with the musicians. Your expertise and passion really are such a bonus to our community..."

"thank you so much Bob, best live music we have attended since Joe Cocker in Townsville many years ago. I loved how we could see Joe and his guitarist really 'feel' the music. You would not see this in a large venue. Copping Hall rocked. I hope you find the energy to arrange another gig next year. thank you for your efforts".

"they weren't excellent, they were f.....g excellent!!"
